What is Trezor® Wallet?

Trezor® is a hardware wallet family that stores private keys offline. A Trezor® Hardware Wallet isolates signing from your computer, protecting funds from keyloggers, malware, and compromised machines. Use the official start page (trezor.io/start) to ensure you get authentic setup instructions and downloads.

Set up & Trezor® Suite

Install the Trezor Suite app (desktop or web) to manage accounts, send/receive crypto, and interact with supported coins. Visit the official download area via trezor.io/start for the Trezor Suite Download package and follow the on-screen instructions. On some OSes you may also need Trezor Bridge — a small helper that enables browser-to-device communication. If required, download Trezor Bridge from the official site.

Login & connecting your device

When you open Trezor Suite and plug in your device, the app prompts you to confirm the device fingerprint and enter your PIN directly on the Trezor® device. This is the secure login flow — the PIN and confirmations happen on-device. For web interactions use trezor.io/start to validate you’re on the genuine site.

Troubleshooting common login issues

  • Device not detected: ensure cable/data lines are good; try another USB port and reinstall Trezor Bridge.
  • Login not working: confirm the device shows the correct fingerprint and update firmware through Trezor Suite if prompted.
  • Can't verify Trezor® Wallet: verify the device's screen matches the one shown by Suite and check the bootloader fingerprint on trezor.io/start.

Account recovery & lost PIN

If you lose access, recover accounts using your 12–24 word recovery seed on a new Trezor® device or compatible recovery tool. Never share your seed. Trezor® does not offer account passwords — recovery is seed-based. For lost PIN situations, the recovery seed is the fallback.

Advanced: Trezor® does not use traditional 2FA for the device itself. Some services you connect with may require 2FA — reset those via the service provider. For "Trezor 2fa reset" issues, contact the third-party service or follow its recovery process.

Go to trezor.io/start, install Trezor Suite, plug in the device, and follow on-screen steps to initialize and write down your recovery seed.

2. What is Trezor Bridge and do I need it?

Trezor Bridge enables communication between your browser and the hardware device. Some desktop/web setups require it — download from the official site if prompted.

3. Trezor Suite can't detect my device — what now?
